Do you appreciate the work TLC is
doing? Would someone you know benefit form our care?
We would like to offer all of our
current families $25.00 off your next tuition payment, every time you
refer someone to register their children here at TLC. For more information
ask in the office!
Q: Can I come in for a tour?
A: Yes, the director is usually in the office from 8am-4pm, call to set up
an appointment.
Q: When can my child start attending?
A: We require that all children be 2 ½ years old, and fully toilet trained
before they start attending.
Q: What is the Little Dolphin Program?
A: We work in conjunction with Herma Simmons Elementary School who offers a free
Pre-School
Program called Little Dolphins. We ask that you sign up for the
afternoon session of Little Dolphins, and then you may attend our morning Pre-
School session. The students are bused from here to Simmons Elementary School,
and then picked up by our bus for our afternoon day care session. Since the
children are not at our center for nap time, there is a lower cost for this
program.
Q: Are all Pre-School children required to nap?
A: During our 12:30pm to 2:30pm naptime your child is encouraged to sleep and
required to stay on his/her mat. We turn off the lights and close the blinds,
play soft music and rub children's backs to help them fall asleep. Often a soft
toy or a blanket is helpful in keeping a child happy and comfortable at rest
time.
Q: Who provides lunch?
A: We ask that the parents provide lunch, we provide a morning and an afternoon
snack.
Q: Can I come in and volunteer?
A: As partners in your child's well being, you are welcome in the classroom at
any time. Check with your child's teacher for the best time and way to help out.
Q: What happens in case of snow?
A: Our School Closing number is 809- if the Clayton School District closes for
snow, we are closed. If the Clayton School District has a Two Hour Delay, or an
Early Dismissal we are OPEN.
Q: If my child is sick what should I do?
A: We ask that if your child has a fever of 101.5, diarrhea, vomiting, or other
contagious illnesses that they be kept at home. Please call the office and let
us know that you will be keeping your child home.
